I believe this word centers around the overall theme of the album. He repeats the word “frequency” quite a bit throughout the album. The overall vibe is upbeat with a few darker songs in the mix. You can easily bump your head to most of the beats within the album.Īfter analyzing the lyrics, it seems Cudi is trying to tell us he is in complete control of his life, and he is excited to share with people the realization of his new philosophy. Now that I have become familiar with the album and accessed a closer perspective, I can confidently share my opinions on it. The more times you listen to the album, the more familiar it becomes, and you start to appreciate it and it’s story. I say this because the initial opinion of an album can change with time. In my eyes, an album needs time to completely sink in before being able to give a true opinion on it. Kid Cudi’s recently released album, Passion, Pain, & Demon Slayin’, has been soaking in my head since it’s release in December.
